When Microsoft introduced Edge on Windows 10, the company talked a great deal about seamless updates. Everyone expected Windows 10 to update Microsoft Edge through the Windows Store however, that didn't grow to be the case. Microsoft actually updated Edge with Windows 10 updates, which isn't really convenient. This is definitely quite an enormous issue for Microsoft and Edge users as Edge is still quite limited in terms of features and users need to wait a long time to get major updates on Edge. For example, Microsoft added a number of features to Edge using the windows 8.1 enterprise Anniversary Update however, if the company was able to release updates through the Windows Store, some of these features might have arrived much earlier for Edge users.

It's not yet known when exactly this feature is going to be available, but we suspect it will be enabled with Windows 10 Redstone 2 but of course, it might get enabled even earlier. Nevertheless, this is quite a huge achievement for office 2013 professional Edge as it will be able to get frequent updates and provide an overall better experience for Windows 10 users.

Microsoft initially offered Windows 10 as an optional upgrade - that is, one that users had to choose themselves. Then, earlier this year, the company reclassified it as a "recommended" update. Some Windows 10 holdouts cried foul, since many PCs are set up to automatically install recommended updates, which are usually important security fixes. Suddenly those machines would automatically install buy windows 10 as well.
At one point, some PC owners complained, Microsoft began sending on-screen messages prompting them to download and install Windows 10. The catch: Where most such pop-up windows have buttons marked "OK" and "Cancel" this message displayed two buttons that both led to an upgrade ("Upgrade Now" and "Upgrade Tonight"). To avoid the upgrade, diehard resisters had to click a red "X" in the upper-right corner that closed the window.
Microsoft then revised the notifications, citing customer feedback. A new version tells office 2010 home and student owners they are scheduled for a "recommended" upgrade to Windows 10 at a specific time in the near future, and bears a prominent "OK" button. To reject or reschedule the change, users have to find and click a less conspicuous link in small type. But clicking the "X" no longer blocks the upgrade.

10% more stylus input into the OS (Wish it was more, but Joe did spill the beans that people would most likely be seeing more stylus input features put into cheap windows 10 in the near future. I am awaiting redstone)
Interactive live tiles (not here yet, but announced at build 2015 this year it's still coming. Waiting for redstone)
Toggles pane within the action center (feels like charmsbar 2.0 for me originating from windows 8.1 Pro)
Multiple apps snappable both in landscape AND PORTRAIT orientation (yes finally; Does still some refinements though)
Drag and drops of files between desktop and windows buy software online is possible (not much, but getting there; needs more refining on the touch UI department which more apps implement this. Would be a great and natural interaction between apps when utilizing like a tablet)
I love it that they still support hotcorner/swipe gesture to spread out hidden title and app bars in ported apps with swipe down from top edge. At least by doing this office 2013 professional is still usable with the core apps from the "first" windows store.
Still determining why I'd desire to use is on my surface pro. But for multitasking its practical virtues. Adds a more recent layer of flexibility of mulitasking (does needs more refinement though)
